Canberra Bad Investment? - Ask Kevin Young - Episode 54
G'day!
Canberra is beautiful, but is it the right place to invest in property?
Having a population push to drive growth in an area is extremely important for capital growth. Canberra's population is largely made up of temporary residents or fly-in fly-out workers which is driven by varying government needs. So it can lead to a sort of boom/bust cycle - just like has happened in mining towns.
The housing that people want is not always the best for investment prospects.
It's a great question. Make sure you're getting lots of advice before you invest in any area.
Regards,
Kevin Young
